A Demonstration of my skills

Submarine (In Progress):

Driven by a deep curiosity about submarines' operational principles, I resolved to construct my own submarine. In this endeavor, I chose to deviate from conventional submarine design principles and instead incorporate innovative elements by integrating common aeronautical control surfaces, thereby introducing a novel approach to submarine engineering.

Fundamental Skills:

  • SOLIDWORKS

  • Buoyancy calculations

Customized Remote Control:

To introduce new control surfaces to the submarine and allow for individual and grouped control, I determined that creating a custom remote control was the best course of action. Therefore, I resolved to develop the most effective control solution.

Fundamental Skills:

  • PCB design (KiCad)

  • Soldering

  • Arduino programming

Catalyst Project – RC Airplane:

Alongside three fellow engineering students, I collaborated on the development of a 3D-printed airplane. My primary contribution involved designing the wing structure, which successfully reduced the overall weight of the aircraft.

Fundamental Skills:

  • Fusion 360

  • Wing performance simulation (XFLR5)

Kelvin Water Dropper:

As part of the Halloween Science Demonstration outreach project, I was assigned the task of repairing a Kelvin Water Dropper generator. After numerous attempts and adjustments, I successfully addressed the leaks and achieved visible ionization.

Fundamental Skills:

  • Understanding of static electricity

  • Basic knowledge of pipes

Look for the sparks

Rube Goldberg Machine:

As part of my final Physics II project, I was given the task of building a Rube Goldberg Machine. The intricate design of each step in the machine provided me with an opportunity to become acquainted with a wide range of concepts.

Fundamental Skills:

  • Understanding of dynamics and kinematics

  • Understanding of electromagnetism fundamentals

  • Microcontroller sensor interface

  • AutoCAD

  • Arduino programming

Stair Assistant - Final Project:

For my high school final project, I undertook the challenge of developing a machine designed to enable individuals with motor disabilities to use the stairs. Due to budget limitations, I constructed a scaled prototype and conducted tests within a scaled environment.

Fundamental Skills:

  • Design of chain mechanisms

  • AutoCAD

  • Understanding of motion transmission
